Exactly one year ago, Mold3D made it's debut at the 2014 3D Printer World Expo in Burbank, California. It was an exciting time for us, having just launched the Mold3D website and exhibiting at LA's first major 3D Printing event.
We were essentially the underdogs among a sea of venture capital financed companies and well established players of the 3D Printing industry. We held our own though, and helped contribute an artistic vibe to a show dominated by technology.
One year later.
Now a year has passed and another 3D Printer World Expo is among us. This year Mold3D is once again hosting a booth and we'll be announcing a very exciting and new venture for our brand. While I'd love to tell you what it is, you'll just have to come by our booth and check it out for yourself!
Beside the mysteries that await you at our booth, the expo has many incentives for artists who are interested in 3D Printing.
Returning this year as an official sponsor is Pixologic, a favorite brand among 3D artists that always has a good showing. On top of the usual great demos, there is a planned live ZBrush Sculpt-Off that pits professional 3D artists against each other. Last year it was a close race of incredible talent, but only 1 artist will take home the prize. I personally can't wait to see the digital sculpts created by some of the best in the business!
Other attractions include amazing artist exhibits of 3D Printed sculptures as well as a 'Movie Magic' exhibit where you will see 3D printed costumes and other movie props created by special effects wizards.
If you are in the LA area next week, this is an event you will definitely not want to miss! Please make sure to come by, say hi and enter our raffle to win some cool prizes.
