If you’re curious about getting into mass vinyl doll production, check out Danny Choo's process about bringing his vinyl figures to life.
In this awesome article, Danny takes us through his workflow of creating a copper mold for soft vinyl pour. Beginning by digitally modeling a doll’s hand, he prints a high resolution model of it with his Form 1 printer.
Choo also gives us a rundown of a few 3D printers he’s encountered and suggests that the Form 1 provided the needed surface resolution to go directly into silicon casting. However, he also notes that accessories or furniture wouldn't require such a high end printer.
